Class Description:
Session 1 (April 5): Yin Yoga Trinity - An hour-long exploration intertwining Yin Yoga, guided meditation, and a soothing sound bath. You will be guided by a yin yoga practice to foster meditation as well as nurture the deep tissues, bones, joints, and ligaments of the body. Following the Yin Yoga sequence, you will be led through a guided meditation, culminating in a tranquil sound bath experience.Session 2 (April 12): Qigong Harmonizing with Art - Engage in an hour-long session of qigong and a relaxing sound bath. Gathering in the gallery, you will be guided on a movement meditation through the art of qigong. After the qigong practice, each participant will have the opportunity to select a piece of art to observe in stillness, followed by a restful session enveloped in the healing vibrations of a sound bath.Session 3 (April 19): Watercolor and Sound Healing for Mindfulness - In the gallery, explore the artwork before choosing a piece for contemplative observation, similar to the second session. Following the sound bath, enjoy being guided by watercolor techniques and enjoy the freedom to create your own masterpiece, drawing inspiration from the profound moments of your unique experience over all three sessions.Supplies: All supplies provided.

Join Becky Nakashima Brooke for an informational meeting on the service of an end of life Doula. Learn how Becky can help you with her expertise and services. Following the informational meeting, she will share resources on how to plan for the end of life and the importance of talking about your end of life wishes. Participants should bring a notepad and laptop if possible. Participants will have the opportunity to purchase a copy of End Notes which is a wonderful way to start planning for the end of life. This event is free, but participants must register.

Division 9 of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary is holding an intermediate Boating course. This course builds on the skills found in Boat America, The course is a 6-week course meeting for 3 hours every Saturday night from June 1 till July 13 running from 6-9 pm at the Coast Guard Auxiliary station, within Sunset Marina. The cost of the course is 60 dollars, which includes a book, and more. Some of the topics being covered are Navigation, Rules of the Road, and the Law, Weather, Safety, and security. Upon course completion, students will receive a certificate and wallet card.
