Nov 01 Saturday
It’s DINOVEMBER and dinosaurs are taking over the Libraries! Your dino toys and stuffies will spend a couple of weeks hanging out with Library staff as we process books, answer phones, lead storytimes, and more! Your dino will even write you a postcard letting you know about all the fun stuff they are doing (and how many books they have devoured). Drop off your dino at a Davenport Public Library location between November 1st and November 6th and expect to spend a few minutes filling out paperwork so we can keep your dino safe and secure during their time with us. Dinos will then be available for pickup from your chosen library location between November 29th and December 4th.

The Library welcomes all kids between ages 7 and 10 to join the Kids’ Advisory Board! KAB members will meet once a month with and Mr. Joe to talk all things library. Members will have the opportunity to share ideas for future children’s programs, make suggestions for items to add to Library collections, and participate in service projects like making decorations or bulletin boards. If you’re interested in joining, email us at ysp@davenportlibrary.com (or just come to a meeting!) so you can be the first to know what’s going on in the children’s department at Davenport Public Library!
All teens (ages 11-19) are invited to join The Library's Teen Advisory Board! TAB Members volunteer, organize & participate in teen programming, and give their opinions on how to make The Library awesome by attending monthly meetings and filling out online surveys. Currently, TAB is meeting in-person at our Fairmount Branch. Contact Claire Trimble, Youth Services Librarian, if you are interested in joining the Teen Advisory Board. You can email her at ctrimble@davenportlibrary.com or pick up a TAB application in The Library's teen areas.
