Habitat for Humanity Quad Cities conducted groundbreaking ceremonies Saturday, Aug. 15, on its 149th and 150th homes. These two are at 745 21st St. in East Moline and at 1117 12th St. in Moline. -
The Davenport housing service nonprofit is working with developer Built to Suit to add 11 units on West 50th Street. The $4.2 million project will include ADA-compliant housing with wraparound services. Construction is expected to be completed in April. -
Community Home Partners and developer AHDVS LLC plan to build a four-story apartment complex with a community center for seniors 62 and older in Rock Island. The Illinois Housing Development Authority announced over $15 million in state and federal tax credits for the housing project. Construction of Valley Homes is expected to begin in the spring of 2027. -
The project received a $7.5 million grant from the Illinois Housing Development Authority’s Permanent Supportive Housing Development Program and a $400,000 grant from the state’s Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity. They are seeking $1.3 million from donors to cover the remaining costs.
