Traffic & St. Patrick's Day in the QCs

St. Patrick's Day activities on Saturday mean parking will be limited in some areas of downtown Rock Island and Davenport.

In Rock Island from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M., the east side of 15th Street (U.S. 67) will be closed from 2nd Avenue to the Centennial Bridge. The parade will begin at the intersection of 23rd Street and 4th Avenue (see image in slide show).

The parade staging area will be on 5th Avenue (the parking lane and two traffic lanes) from 16th to 23rd street, and on 23rd Street between 4th and 5th avenues.

Before the parade, a Riverbend Food Bank Drive will begin at 11:00 with the parade actually starting at 11:30 A.M.

After crossing the Mississippi River, the parade will arrive in downtown Davenport on Gaines Street and then on to West Third Street.
