St. Patrick's Day Parade and Activities

Thousands of green costumes and Irish-themed floats will swarm the Quad Cities this weekend. Saturday, the 31st annual Saint Patrick's Day Parade will start in Rock Island and end in Davenport.

Saint Patrick Society President, Joe Dooley, says over 20,000 people attend the parade each year. This weekend, 60 groups will participate, including several Irish clans.
Dooley says the parade will start on 23rd Street in downtown Rock Island and end at the RiverCenter in Davenport. Centennial Bridge will be closed during the parade, from 11 am to 1 pm.

Open lanes will alternate during the time.

In addition to the parade, a Saint Patrick's Day mass will be held Saturday at 10 am, at Saint Mary's Church in Rock Island.

And, a Post-Parade Bash will begin at 1 pm, at the RiverCenter in Davenport, with live music and food.
