Trivia Night benefiting Bikes For Tykes, an annual charity drive sponsored by the Quad Cities Bicycle Club that gets bicycles and related accessories to the children of families in need in time for the holidays. Doors open at 5:15 p.m. and the trivia contest begins about one hour later. Cost is $150 for a table of eight (and please no more); singles are welcome at a cost of $20. The evening will also feature a “heads or tails” contest and a “Holly Jolly Christmas Dress-up” competition. While you are free to bring your own food and snacks, all beverages must be purchased at the Holiday Inn's bar. To register, go to the QCBC website, at qcbc.org; click on “Calendar” on the top dropdown menu; then click on the Trivia Night entry on November 6.

Join Dress for Success Quad Cities for Recycle the Runway 2026, an exciting evening of fashion, creativity, and community impact!
This one-of-a-kind fashion fundraiser brings together talented designers from across the country who transform recycled clothing and accessories into stunning, runway-ready creations. Watch as designers showcase their work before celebrity judges and a live audience, competing for cash prizes while celebrating sustainable fashion.
This year’s theme, THEN. NOW. NEXT., celebrates the journey of Dress for Success Quad Cities—honoring our beginnings, recognizing the impact we're making today, and looking ahead to a future of empowering even more women.
Beyond the runway, every ticket supports a meaningful cause. 100% of the evening’s proceeds benefit Dress for Success Quad Cities, helping provide free professional clothing, career coaching, job-search assistance, and employment support to women throughout Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois.
Experience an unforgettable evening where fashion meets purpose, creativity inspires change, and every ticket helps women move from jobs to careers!

At 6:30PM, you are invited to hear David LaMotte share an encouraging and practical look at how large-scale change happens, how it doesn’t and how to understand our own roles within that effort for positive change. The presentation will be based on David’s recent book, You Are Changing the World (Whether You Like It or Not).

At 7:45PM, David will entertain us with some of his original music which "pushes the envelope with challenging lyrics and unusual tunings" while paying "homage to the folk tradition." (Boston Globe).

Join us for the Rock Island Artists’ Market—a vibrant outdoor series celebrating local creativity in the heart of downtown Rock Island! Held the second Sunday of each month, June through October, this open-air market features dozens of talented artists, makers, and vendors offering everything from handmade goods and original art to yummy treats and locally grown plants.

Class Description:

Join us in observing a piece of art for few minutes, followed by meditative yin yoga practice led by Becky Nakashima Brooke. The class will end with savasana, with warm stones and eye masks offered during this time.

Slow art is the practice of spending more time observing art. The average person spends 8-30 seconds observing a piece of art. Slow art will allow you more time to connect with the art. The piece of art will be chosen for the class to view. Yin yoga is the practice of using seated and lying down poses to target the connective tissues around the joints, tendons, and fascia. We linger in the poses anywhere from 1 to 5 minutes. Reiki is offered during the poses for deeper relaxation. The time will be kept by Becky, but each of the students will have the freedom to adjust when needed. This practice is beneficial for all levels.

Class Description: Join us in the Figge lobby to practice traditional yoga intertwined with qigong. Build stability, balance, and strength through mindful movement. Enjoy a blend of yoga and qigong for an hour in a quiet atmosphere in the heart of downtown Davenport. Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes early to make yourself comfortable.

The Figge Art Museum will offer FREE admission from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. as part of the Second Saturdays programming. Each month will feature experiences ranging from dance, music, spoken word, and art-making activities to community conversations, films, projects, and more. Tax Free shopping is available in the Museum Store all day!
