Timothy McVay is guilty. That was the verdict announced today by Judge Michael Meersman, who ruled the 40-year-old Rock Island man is guilty of first degree murder and concealment of a homicide.

McVay was accused of killing 29-year-old Carrie Olson of Davenport in December 2013. He'll have a sentence hearing in about a month, and will be sentenced to 20 to 60 years in prison.
