Henry Dinkins' son, "DL," testified today that he saw his father shoot his sister, Breasia Terrell, in July, 2020. The murder and kidnapping trial continues this week in Davenport.

At the time, DL was eight-years-old, and now he's eleven. (The court uses initials when referring to minors.)

During cross examination, Henry Dinkins' lawyer, Chad Frese, asked DL about what he remembers about the morning his 10-year-old sister went missing.

Frese: "Either you were there when she was shot or you weren't."
DL: "I was there."
Frese: "So you were there?"
DL: "Yes."
Frese: "You saw your dad shoot Breasia Terrell."
DL: "Yes."
Frese: "Okay. And why didn't you say that when the prosecutor asked you? (pause) Because it's not the truth, right?"
DL: "Everything I say is true."

DL continued to testify, saying the gun was silver but he didn't know what kind of gun it was. Frese continued to ask questions DL why he didn't tell anyone what he witnessed.

Assistant Scott County Attorney, Elizabeth O'Donnell, tried to get DL to clarify his testimony. He and his sister had been sleeping over with Dinkins and his girlfriend, Andrea Culberson.

O'Donnell: "D, when was the last time that you saw Breasia?"
DL: "At Andrea house."
O'Donnell: "And she was in the bedroom at that time?"
DL: "Yes."
O'Donnell: "Did you ever see her again after that?"
DL: "That last time."
O'Donnell: "The last time?"
DL: "Yeah."
O'Donnell: "When was the last time?"
DL: "When she got shot."

Earlier, the victim's younger brother also testified he stayed in the car while Dinkins bought bleach at the Clinton WalMart, and that he saw the defendant "pour bleach" near a dirt road and some bushes. He also testified Dinkins cleaned a "bloody knife" with a spray bottle of bleach.

DL and Breasia Terrell's mother, Aishia Lankford also testified, and the prosecution played her 911 call for the court.

Lankford spent a considerable amount of time testifying about cell phone records, with details of calls and texts between her, Dinkins, and others.

Then in the afternoon, Dinkins' then-girlfriend, Andrea Culberson, testified.
