Its first vaccine clinic for the second booster will be held at the office in Rock Island on Friday from 9 am until noon and 1 to 4 pm. The next one will be held on Tuesday during the same hours. The address is 2112 25th Ave., Rock Island
The CDC and FDA say second boosters will be either Pfizer or Moderna vaccines. And the second dose must be given at least four months after the first booster. Those who are eligible include:
- Adults 50 and older,
- People 12 and older who are immuno-compromised,
- And adults who received the Johnson and Johnson vaccine plus a first booster.
Currently, appointments are not needed. But people should take their vaccine cards to the Rock Island County Health Department on Fridays and Tuesdays to get their second doses.
The Scott County Health Department holds walk-in, COVID-19 vaccine clinics Monday through Friday from 8 to 4. It will offer the Pfizer vaccine for second boosters. The office is on the 4th floor of the county administrative building in downtown Davenport. The address 600 W. 4th Street, Davenport.
