Detours have been set up for streets and roads covered with high water on the Mississippi River.

Davenport

River Drive is closed from Division Street, through downtown Davenport to Tremont Street. The closure will continue to extend as the river rises.  View detour map at this link.

South Concord is closed between River Drive and Utah. Closures have also extended on Wapello and Miller.

Beiderbecke is closed where water is over the street.

The City of Davenport is coordinating with the Iowa DOT and says West River Drive is closed between Highway 22 and Division. The detour is Rockingham Road.

Rock Island

As the Mississippi River continues to rise, it's affecting some streets in Rock Island. Beginning Tuesday, 5th Avenue just west of 40th Street will be closed due to water on the pavement. It's not coming directly from the river, but instead from floodwater backing up in the storm sewer system.

In addition, the city has already closed the eastbound lanes of 1st Avenue between 20th and 24th streets. But traffic should return to normal there by Wednesday morning.

Sunset Drive from 31st Avenue to the park shelter and Skafidas Parkway are closed. (The Sunset Marina fuel dock is closed, and pump-out service is discontinued.)

Moline

The City of Moline Public Works Department has closed River Drive from 23rd Street to 55th streets. The city says, "The road closed signs are not suggestions. The road is actually closed. Don't drive around the signs, through yards, on sidewalks, or whatever else you can think of. Not only is it dangerous but it is illegal." Sections of Butterworth parkway are also under water.

Rock Island County

On Big Island, the Rock Island Conservation Club lakes have risen, and water is covering 27th Street West north of 53rd Avenue West.
