Exit Closed in Bettendorf for I-74 Bridge Work

submitted

This week through late this year, the last Iowa exit in Bettendorf is closed to Illinois-bound traffic on I-74.

That's Exit Four, the off-ramp to US Highway 67 and Grant Street downtown.

The I-74 bridge project requires this closure so contractors can work on the east-bound lanes.

Drivers should take the Middle Road exit instead, then travel south on Kimberly Road to reach US 67 and Grant Street.

In addition, just south of Middle Road, the Illinois-bound lanes will be moved to the new lanes on the other side of the interstate. Illinois-bound traffic will then shift back to the east-bound lanes to get on the existing I-74 bridge.

The project team says the off-ramp to US 67 and Grant Street will be closed until late this year.
