People who live in Whiteside County can get tested for COVID-19 whether they have symptoms or not. Herb Trix has more.
Kimberly Good, Chief Operating Officer at the county's health department and clinic, says testing became available to everyone on Monday, May 4th.

Clients have to call and talk with a doctor or nurse. Then they can make an appointment for a drive-up test at the clinic in Rock Falls.
She says the guidance has changed so many times, people are probably curious.
And Good thinks more people will test positive than previously thought.
Cory Law, Whiteside County Emergency Response Coordinator, says the clinic now has the supplies needed to test a lot more people. The more people who get tested the better because more data is needed.
The call takes about ten minutes, and the drive-up test with a nasal swab takes about ten minutes. There is also a fee based on income.
