As one contractor continues adding segments to the new I-74 bridge arch, another is starting to re-build the east-bound lanes in Moline.
On Thursday, eastbound traffic from the existing bridge will be detoured to the other side of the highway and go head-to-head with Iowa-bound traffic.
In addition, the Avenue of the Cities exit will be closed to eastbound traffic. Drivers should use the 7th Avenue exit instead.
