Using recycled and found materials students will create a personalized book called a junk journal. This art journaling technique incorporates collage and story-telling through ephemera (anything from scraps of pretty papers, old magazines and envelopes to personal photos and memorabilia. There are no rules!). This one-of-a-kind, eclectic book will provide an outlet for creative expression, self-awareness, memory-keeping, and relaxation.

You’ve likely come across a Zine before. They’re everywhere. Little folded paper art-booklets with stories, agendas, drawings, and poems are scattered through cities and tucked into store-corners.
If you made one, yourself, what would it say? What matters enough for you to broadcast it via booklet? Join in on this morning’s workshop filled with folding and unfolding stories. Make your own zine, and find out!
Explore distance and space with Brie Naderman. Make friends and make art!
