18 and up: Some painting experience helpful

In this three-day workshop, Jessie Rebik will teach the techniques used in photorealistic oil painting including color palette selection, color matching, and blending, as well as discussion of photographic references. In addition, students will be introduced to the history of photorealism and the potential meaning that painting in this style embodies.
Intermediate painting students and above will be most comfortable.
This workshop is partially supported by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Iowa Arts Council, which exists within the Iowa Economic Development Authority.
