What to Expect After Latest Winter Storm

In the Quad Cities, overnight lows are forecast to be around 12 above zero with wind chills near zero.

Updated 2/17/2023: The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities released its official snow totals for Thursday's storm:

  • Moline: 2.3 inches
  • Dubuque: 6.6 inches
  • Davenport: 4.2 inches

And a couple of other notable totals:

  • Iowa City-SW University Heights: 11.5" by a trained spotter
  • Lowden: 9.5" (COOP Observer)

Friday should be quiet but colder with a high around 26. In Dubuque, overnight lows are expected to be 8 above with wind chills approaching -2.

The weather service says overnight and this morning, sidewalks and streets that have not been treated will become icy and very slick.
