Select Specialty Hospital Quad Cities is currently located on West Kimberly Road in Davenport.

Select CEO, Codie Dillie, says during the pandemic, the for-profit hospital and Genesis worked together to help take care of critically ill patients without sending them to other cities. Select will have 35 beds in a fully renovated wing of the 3rd floor, right down the hall from the Genesis ICU (Intensive Care Unit).
Jordan Voight is the President of Genesis Medical Center. He agrees with Dillie, saying the "hospital in a hospital" will give Select patients quick, easy access to tests and procedures, preventing them from having to be transferred by ambulance.
In addition, Voight says local specialty doctors are signing up to gain privileges to treat patients at Select.
Genesis and Select Specialty Hospital have agreed to a ten-year lease. The building on West Kimberly will be put up for sale. Part of it is used by the Davenport School District for its Mid City High School.
It first opened as Davenport Medical Center in 1959, then became Davenport Osteopathic Hospital. Before opening a hospital in Bettendorf, Trinity Regional Health System bought the facility and eventually sold it to Select Specialty.
