Paul Rumler, Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce Pres. & CEO

After leading the Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce for four years, Paul Rumler will step down next month.

Today, the chamber announced he has resigned to become CEO of a Chicago commercial real estate association called the CCIM Institute.

Nearly ten years ago when he started working for the Illinois Quad Cities Chamber, one of Rumler's first initiatives was QC Rail, the effort to restore passenger rail service between the Quad Cities and Chicago. And recently under his leadership, the chamber helped attract Amazon to the area.

It has been a privilege to serve the Quad Cities region and work with a talented Chamber team to help create a more prosperous regional economy. I’m excited to join CCIM Institute and help guide this world class organization.

Dr. Mike Oberhaus, the chamber's Chief Strategy Officer, will become Interim CEO as the organization searches for a new leader.

Rumler's last day as President and CEO will be in mid-March.
