Three people charged in January homicides in Davenport

Three suspects in the homicides of two people found dead in a Davenport apartment last month are in police custody.

Last month, Davenport firefighters found 44-year olds Brian Goodwin and Amy Smith dead in an apartment on fire, on the 5200 block of Division St.

Davenport police charged 34-year old Devon Braet and 27-year old Adriana Blake with two counts each of first degree murder and abuse of a corpse, plus second degree arson and several other charges.

Braet and Blake were already in custody for unrelated charges. A third person, 49-year old Melisa Weber, was arrested as an accessory after the fact and booked into the Scott County Jail. Weber is also charged with arson and abuse of a corpse.

The investigation is ongoing.
