The Dubuque-Wisconsin bridge is part of US highway 61.

One person is dead, and three injured, after a car crash in Dubuque County this weekend.

According to a crash report from the Iowa State Patrol, a Toyota RAV4 was crossing the Dubuque-Wisconsin bridge Saturday evening, when the car hit a wheelbarrow in the road.

The report says the car was stopped, and its passengers were outside checking the damage, when it was hit by a Kia Forte.

The crash killed one person. Three people were injured, and taken to different hospitals. One had to be airlifted to a hospital for their injuries.

The accident remains under investigation by the state patrol.
