Dangerous Heat Wave

National Weather Service

Dangerous weather conditions are in the forecast for this week, at least through Thursday. The National Weather Service says it will feel like over 100 degrees this week, up to 110, thanks to high temperatures and humidities.

So heat-related illness is possible for people working outside, and those without air conditioning.

You should limit your outdoor activities, drink plenty of water and avoid alcohol, wear light clothing, wear sunscreen, work outdoors early or very late in the day, and be sure to check on kids, the elderly, and your pets.

Some brief relief from the heat is expected late Thursday when a weak cool front will bring lower temperatures.
