Red Cross Opens Flood Shelter, Meal Sites

Two shelters are now open for anyone displaced by flooding. Thursday the Red Cross opened a shelter in Davenport, at 1111 West Kimberly Road. Another is now open at 1201 13th St., Moline, IL (Bethel Wesley United Methodist Church).

Meals and water will be available, and pets are allowed if you bring a kennel and whatever food and supplies they'll need.

Flood victims who need a meal have several alternatives for lunch and dinner - the Pleasant Valley Fire Station in Bettendorf, a parking lot in southwest Davenport at the corner of South Concord Street and Utah Avenue, and the parking lot at the old fire station on Campbell's Island in East Moline.
