Unity and the salvation of the United States are the stakes in this year's presidential election.
That's what former Secretary of State John Kerry told Iowa voters in Davenport on Saturday, as he campaigned for Joe Biden.
Kerry says President Trump was reckless to walk away from the nuclear deal Kerry and the Obama administration negotiated with Iran.
And in light of recent events, Kerry says Trump's decisions put US security on the line, and that whether we went to war was dependent on the choice of another country. He says it was Biden who pushed President Clinton to respond to the bloodshed in the Balkans and eventually bring peace to the region.
Kerry also says the whole world will be watching as Iowa voters go to the caucuses in less than a month.
Three Democratic US Representatives also campaigned for Biden at "We Know Joe" rallies over the weekend.
Congressmen Emanuel Cleaver of Missouri, Ami Bera and Lou Correa, both from California, accompanied Kerry to events in Muscatine and Davenport, and were also scheduled to speak in Clinton, Dubuque, and Dike.
