WVIK News EditorOfficially, Michelle's title for 28 years was WVIK News Editor. She did everything there is to do in the newsroom and whatever was needed around the radio station. She also served as Acting News Director from September 2023 - January 2024.
She's a multimedia journalist and served as Assignment Editor, Assistant News Director, Reporter, News Anchor/Host, Announcer, Board Operator, Producer, Copy Editor, Audio Editor, Web and Social Media Content Producer, Photographer, and Videographer. She also trained interns and reporters. Plus she served as Acting News Director from September 2023 - January 2024.
In recent broadcast journalism contests, Michelle's work has contributed to WVIK winning many awards for excellence in both Illinois and Iowa.

When not working, Michelle spends time with her puggle (see adorable photo), reads, watches TV & movies, spends time with family and friends, crochets, and runs sound or plays drums or at church.
Petey the Peanut Puggle came to live with Michelle during the flood in 2019. He's an adult rescue dog and an excellent companion!
