Two organizations will offer thousands of free diapers to families today. Hiney Heroes of the Quad Cities and Loving Bottoms Diaper Bank of Galesburg will distribute disposable diapers at the Rock Island County Health Department.
Janet Hill, from the health department, says they hope to give away 20,000 diapers.
From 1-3 pm, families are invited to drive-through and pick up 50 diapers per child (and the child should be in the car). It'll be held at the Rock Island County Health Department on 25th Avenue.
Hiney Heroes plans to host another giveaway for Scott County families at a later date.
