Another Dead in Davenport Drag Racing Crash

Davenport Police Department

Another person has died due to a three-vehicle crash last month in Davenport. On October 25th, two cars were drag racing when they collided with another, and killed the backseat passenger, 80-year-old Erma Mooberry. On Saturday, police were informed the front seat passenger, 90-year-old Robert Mooberry, has also died, from injuries attributed to the crash.

The drivers of the other two cars, 37-year-old Timothy Bell of Davenport, and a 17-year-old, are both charged with two counts of homicide. Additional charges are pending against both drivers.

Police say speeding and drag racing were involved, when the two cars heading west on Kimberly Road collided with the third, which was leaving a business and turning east.
