Davenport police are investigating the third consecutive day of gun violence in the city. Around 2 am today, police responded to gunshots heard at Welcome Way and Kimberly Road.
Police were blocking the intersection and talking to witnesses. There were no injuries or damage to property reported. Officers recovered casings at the scene.
This is the third straight morning of gunshot reports. One man died in an incident yesterday.
Police are asking residents to report any information that may be helpful in the investigation.
