Michigan U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow campaigned in eastern Iowa Monday on behalf of Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.
Stabenow joined a round table of local representatives and volunteers at the Clinton campaign office in Davenport to talk about the historic nomination and what Democrats can offer to women and families in the November election.
Stabenow has known Clinton for 30 years and was at the 1995 United Nations Conference on Women in Beijing when the then-first lady said "Human rights are women's rights and women's rights are human rights."
Stabenow also made stops in Dubuque and Cedar Rapids.
