Caucus Sites May Not Be Voting Sites

Political party officials in Scott County have been answering a lot of questions before Monday's caucuses. One of the most common is, "Where do I go to participate?"

Thom Hart, Chair of the Scott County Democrats, says residents need to remember their caucus site may not be the same as their voting site.

In addition, Judy Davidson, Chair of the Scott County Republicans, says precinct boundaries  changed four years ago due to redistricting.

I just talked to someone the other day who has not moved. They used to be in one precinct but now they're in a different one. It's because the lines have shifted.

Davidson and Hart both say people who plan to caucus on Monday can use the Scott County Auditor's online Precinct Finder, or call (563)326-8631. Information is also available on the parties' websites: scottcountyrepublicans.org and scottcountydems.org.
