About 50 people applied for a key position in Moline that's been vacant for several months. Former city administrator Lew Steinbrecher retired in November. And late last year, the city council hired GovHR USA to help search for his replacement.
Seventh Ward Alderman, Mike Waldron, says a recruiter from the firm has been reviewing the applications and, by the end of the week, will provide a list of the top ten candidates.
The entire Moline City Council is serving as the search committee to fill the administrator position. Waldron isn't sure when it will decide which applicants to invite for interviews.
