Fourth Accreditation Assessment for Davenport PD

submitted

People who have complaints or compliments for Davenport police can tell their stories to an  accreditation team. Two assessors from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies will spend the first half of next week reviewing the department.

Davenport Police Captain Jane Imming says they'll examine whether the department and its employees are complying with nearly 500 different standards. The categories include administration, operations, use of force, and an early identification system for officers.
Then she says supervisors meet with the officer to see if the department can help resolve work or personal issues.
