SAU Plans Return to Normal Schedule in the Fall

Saint Ambrose University in Davenport is hoping it will be possible to return to normal in the fall. Monday it announced plans to offer a full schedule of in-person classes and activities.

College officials are basing their decision on declining rates of infection and hospitalizations in Iowa in recent weeks, plus projections that more than three-quarters of Americans will be vaccinated by the end of May.

The new academic year will begin at St. Ambrose on August 23rd.

A native of Detroit, Herb Trix began his radio career as a country-western disc jockey in Roswell, New Mexico (“KRSY, your superkicker in the Pecos Valley”), in 1978. After a stint at an oldies station in Topeka, Kansas (imagine getting paid to play “Louie Louie” and “Great Balls of Fire”), he wormed his way into news, first in Topeka, and then in Freeport Illinois.
