SAU All Virtual for the Rest of the Semester

After moving classes online temporarily this week, Saint Ambrose University has decided to move all classes online for the rest of the fall semester. That's because of the rising number of COVID-19 cases on campus and in the community.

All face-to-face extracurricular activities, including most athletic events and practices, also are suspended until further notice.

The university had held all classes online for a week, this week, hoping to stop the spread of the virus.

Saint Ambrose says its residence halls will remain open to all students through November 24th, but students can return home now for the rest of the semester. The final weeks of classes and final exams after Thanksgiving will be conducted online, as originally scheduled.

A native of Detroit, Herb Trix began his radio career as a country-western disc jockey in Roswell, New Mexico (“KRSY, your superkicker in the Pecos Valley”), in 1978. After a stint at an oldies station in Topeka, Kansas (imagine getting paid to play “Louie Louie” and “Great Balls of Fire”), he wormed his way into news, first in Topeka, and then in Freeport Illinois.
