Augustana College Offers New Diversity Scholarship

Augustana College

Today, Augustana College announced a new diversity scholarship worth $1,000 a year.

Executive Vice President Kent Barnds says there's no limit on how many incoming freshman can earn the scholarship—they just have to complete an online social justice training program by Dec. 10.

"We would love for every single one of the 700 new students that will enroll for the fall of 2021 to have participated in this program. We believe that it is important and critical that our students show up on campus ready to have these important discussions. So, at this moment, there is no limit."

The online training program will be available starting Nov. 2 on Augustana's website.
