SAU Switches to Online Classes

Classes on campus have been canceled at Saint Ambrose University in Davenport due to worries about COVID-19. Thursday the university announced it's switching to online classes only, through at least the end of the month (3/29).

For students living on campus, residence halls will close Monday afternoon, with exceptions for students who have no safe alternative housing. Arrangements are in the works for food service and other essential services for these students.

Campus operations will continue and Saint Ambrose offices will remain open.

But all events scheduled for the next two weeks (3/14-29) have been postponed.

A native of Detroit, Herb Trix began his radio career as a country-western disc jockey in Roswell, New Mexico (“KRSY, your superkicker in the Pecos Valley”), in 1978. After a stint at an oldies station in Topeka, Kansas (imagine getting paid to play “Louie Louie” and “Great Balls of Fire”), he wormed his way into news, first in Topeka, and then in Freeport Illinois.
