The president of Knox College in Galesburg has decided to retire, but not until next year. Doctor Teresa Amott told the board of trustees recently she will retire in June of 2021, after ten years on the job.
Amott was hired in 2011, and since then the college has undertaken some major building projects, including renovating Alumni Hall, major changes and updating for the science and math center, and the new Whitcomb Art Center.
Plans are underway to form a presidential search committee with representatives from faculty, staff, and students.
