Traffic at the Quad City International Airport dropped sharply in May, as the pandemic continued to hurt commercial air travel. The total number of passengers dropped 89 per cent - from 32,000 in May of last year to 3,500 last month.
Still, the figures show what might be the beginning of a recovery - traffic in May totaled 7,000, nearly three times April's total of just 2,700.
And for the four major airlines serving the Quad Cities, passenger traffic fell between 83 and 93 per cent compared to the same month a year ago.
