President and CEO, Dave Herrell, says it's focused on eight main goals: brand identifcation, growth, visitor experience, economic impact, investment, collaboration, quality of life, and sustainability.

One focus of the plan is what Herrell calls, "Destination Stewardship," to maintain the cultural, environmental, economic, and aesthetic integrity of the Quad Cities. That means the plan must foster equity, diversity, and inclusion.

An example is the Putnam's recent exhibit, "Race: Are We That Different" which got people talking.

But Herrell says now it's time for action, to push the envelope to grow and improve and make sure everyone benefits from Quad Cities tourism.

To start implementing the new strategic plan, Visit Quad Cities is asking for feedback and help.

The plan and more information are online HERE.
