Two more people who live in Rock Island County have died from COVID-19, a man in his 30s and a woman in her 70s. Both had been in the hospital. The Rock Island County Health Department also reported two deaths on Friday, bringing the total of COVID deaths in the county to 339.

For Monday and the weekend, the health department reports 145 new cases with an average age of 39 years. Forty-three residents are in the hospital including seven new admissions since Friday.
Rock Island County is located in Illinois Region 2, where only 18% of ICU beds are available. That's below the state's target of 20%.
The 7-day-rolling average test positivity rate in Rock Island County fell to 8.9%, from 9.4% on Friday.
And the CDC reports 44.6% of Rock Island County's population is fully vaccinated, and 49% in Scott County. The Quad Cities area transmission level is "high." And the indoor mask mandate in Illinois is now in effect.
