Prayer Vigil for Missing EM Man

Rock Island Police Department

Family and friends of a missing East Moline man will hold a prayer vigil this weekend. 35 year old Ryan Muckelston was last seen on January 18th, leaving a friend's house in Rock Island, intending to walk home. Searches by police and others have so far been unsuccessful.

When Muckelston left the house near 26th Street and 8 1/2 Avenue in Rock Island, he was wearing a sleeveless shirt, sweat pants, flip-flop shoes, and possibly a hooded sweatshirt.

Anyone with information should call the Rock Island police at 309-732-2677 or dial 911.

The prayer vigil begins at 6 pm Saturday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 4501 7th Avenue, in Rock Island.

A native of Detroit, Herb Trix began his radio career as a country-western disc jockey in Roswell, New Mexico (“KRSY, your superkicker in the Pecos Valley”), in 1978. After a stint at an oldies station in Topeka, Kansas (imagine getting paid to play “Louie Louie” and “Great Balls of Fire”), he wormed his way into news, first in Topeka, and then in Freeport Illinois.
