RI Community Foundation Grants
Nearly 50 charitable organizations will have some new money to spend thanks to the Rock Island Community Foundation. Tuesday, the Foundation announced its latest round of grants, totaling $105,000.
Grant recipients include the Milan Christian Food Pantry, to help feed the hungry in the southwest Rock Island area, UnityPoint Health, to help pay for its new heart center and emergency room in Rock Island, and Ballet Quad Cities, to provide programs in Rock Island schools.
Now 48 years old, the Rock Island Community Foundation is a trust fund formed for the purpose of supporting the civic needs and general welfare of the city and surrounding area.
