Davenport Police Bring Christmas to Abuse Victims

Davenport Police Association

Organizations in Davenport are teaming up to bring Christmas to children who are victims of domestic abuse. This weekend, the Davenport Police Association and Family Resources will collect toys at NorthPark Mall.
Davenport Police Corporal, Kris Mayer, says they've sponsored the annual toy drive since 2002. Each year, toys are distributed by Family Resources.
He says every toy is given to a child in need. Often, the children live in shelters or safe houses after leaving violent homes.
New, unwrapped toys and monetary donations are being accepted now at the Police Station and State Farm Insurance in Davenport.

On Saturday (12/13), toys can be dropped off at the US Adventure RV parked at NorthPark Mall, between 10 am and 6 pm. Sunday (12/14)  hours are 11 am to 5 pm.
