The Tour of the Heartland begins and ends at Geneseo Brewing Company in downtown Geneseo, Illinois. The course opens at 7 a.m., with SAG support available through 5 p.m. The Tour of the Heartland offers four different routes measuring approximately 25 miles, all winding through scenic, paved, lightly traveled roads in and around Geneseo. Those taking the tour can ride as many of the routes as they choose, up and including completing all four to achieve a century. Along with well-stocked SAG stops, Tour of the Heartland riders will enjoy a hearty lunch with dessert served in the outdoor seating area at Geneseo Brewing beginning at noon. Live music will be performed at the brewery, which will be decorated in an Oktoberfest theme. All riders will be entered in hourly raffles. The cost to register for the ride is $45 for members of the Quad Cities Bicycle Club who submit their registration by August 15. After that date, the price goes up to $55 for club members. The registration fee for non-members is $55 through August 15, and $65 after.
