Q-C History Hop: Davenport City Cemetery
The Quad Cities are bursting with history! Join us for a tour of local cultural and historical institutions and organizations to learn about the region's storied past.
We will visit the Davenport City Cemetery for this Q-C History Hop. It is located on Rockingham Road between Sturdevant Street and Division Street. The cemetery is maintained by the City's Parks and Recreation Department.
With the Parks and Recreation Department, Davenport City Cemetery Partnership strives to preserve and to share the history of the oldest cemetery in Scott County. Members of the Partnership will be providing a tour featuring the history of this distinguished cemetery and its notable local citizens and veterans from the U.S. Military and Schleswig-Holstein Kampfgenossen who are buried there.
