EL1 Sports operates 15 facilities across the country. The company is also Major League Baseball's youth training partner.
Frank Decembrino, EL1 Sports' Senior Director of Business Development, says the company has already hired two, full time employees who live in the Quad Cities.
"We believe it's more important to invest in what we call the gatekeepers. The people that actually work with the community are invested in the kids and the players. And instead of trying to build our own thing and start from scratch, we know that's just not the right way to do things, especially in the sports world. So, we come in to try to enhance the experience for the operators that are already there."

Renovations have begun at TBK in the former Scott County YMCA gymnastics center and sand volleyball courts.
"We'll have 13 batting tunnels. We're going to have an official size, infield which can support a modified youth, baseball, or softball game, but can provide a workout space for even collegiate, professional level players."
Decembrino also says EL1 Sports will use TBK's fields to host tournaments, camps, clinics, and other events. He hopes to open late this spring or early summer.
