New United Way Board Members

United Way Quad Cities announces its new senior executives and committee chairs. The new board will start in July.

The board was nominated by current board members. They then go through a screening based on their involvement in the community, professional experiences, and support of United Way. Age, career field, and lived experiences are taken into account. The board will then approve or deny the nominees.

United Way is a social change organization local to the Quad Cities. Its mission is to make the Quad Cities thrive and help everyone reach their full potential.

Rene Gellerman, President and CEO, says that the new board will help carry out United Way's mission. “We’re all on the same team, we all want the same thing. We all want our community to be the very best it can be. We want all of our neighbors to be able to live their best life and develop to their full potential.”

The board members will serve a three-year term, joining the current board leaders and volunteer committee members. United Way welcomes Ed Decker, Meyer Lehman, Sangeetha Rayapati, Zarifa Reynolds, Brian Reyolds, and Octavius O’Large to the board in addition to the current volunteer officers and committee.
