Living Lands and Waters will hold this year's Barge Party at its new headquarters on Thursday.

Education Facilitator Mike Coyne-Logan says guests will be able to see the organization's latest floating classroom and its future home at Beacon Harbor in East Moline. The party will include a fish fry, shrimp boil and live music.

"Beer, music, good food, barbecue, fried catfish caught right out of the Mississippi River, and just people getting together, hanging out, having a good time there down in Beacon Harbor in East Moline, right on the river," Coyne-Logan said.

The fundraising event will also feature an art auction, with environmental-themed artwork made from natural or repurposed materials.

Tickets for the Barge Party at Beacon Harbor can be purchased online or in person.
