That's according to Superintendent TJ Schneckloth.
Currently, the district is adding new turf at the high schools, moving the baseball diamond at Brady Street Stadium and adding new weight and wrestling rooms to Davenport West.
Schneckloth says the biggest projects in phase one will begin in the next few months.
"We're getting ready to enter into the process of building a brand new Sudlow Middle School. What we heard from our community overhelmingly, was 'Let's do something at our middle schools.' The last part of the first phase will be a major renovation at North to add science wings and remodel some classrooms."
Groundbreaking for Sudlow will begin in the fall.
Six months later, construction at Smart Intermediate will begin.
Once phase one finishes up, planning for phase two will begin.
"We'll start the preparation for that, the gathering, the data intake, we'll begin to do that right as phase one is ending. And then, create phase two. Because, things are happening so fast in our society now. It's better for us to put together plans that have valves in them so we can recalibrate."
Schneckloth says the district is at or below projected spending for each project so far. And, residents can expect to hear more about phase two in the next couple of years.
