Several nonprofits in the Quad Cities will gain new leadership in the coming months.

Melissa Mohr, formally the director of education at the Figge Art Museum, began her role as interim executive director last month.

Mercado on 5th will reopen in May with new leadership as well. Frances Williams, a Moline native, was hired as Mercado's new executive director. She previously worked at a Latino-serving organization in Colorado, where she helped support entrepreneurs and small businesses.

And this summer, the River Bend Food Bank will also see new leadership. Chris Ford will begin as the new president and CEO in July. Ford has worked at the food bank since 2021, and currently serves as the chief operating officer.

Finally, the Putnam Museum and Science Center President Rachael Mullins is set to retire in June. The museum will welcome a new CEO this summer.
