A former Aledo police chief and city administrator will pay a $2,500 fine for committing battery during a 2020 arrest.

Christopher Sullivan pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor battery charge in Mercer County earlier this month. As part of the plea deal, two counts of felony official misconduct were dropped.

Sullivan was the chief of police at the time of the arrest.

The 62-year old was ordered to pay a $2,500 fine by next month.
